Road ID Contest

On August 15th this year I will be running the storied Falmouth Road Race. Last year, runners in this race raised over 1.4 million dollars for charity, making it one of the most successful fundraising races in the country. Rather than simply run the race this year, I have partnered up with Technology for Autism Now and the Massachusetts Advocates for Children in an effort to raise money and awareness for the work they do with teachers, parents, and children dealing with Autism. We’ve all seen the commercials (Odds of having a child born with Autism 1:150… Actually now quoted as 1:110). Both of these groups develop useful technological ways of improving the way teachers and parents communicate with children. One such application is an iPad/iPhone friendly app using story boards to help communicate. Parents can use it in the grocery store and teachers ARE using them in the classroom. This is just one example.

So, here’s how to enter the contest:
1. Run, Swim, or Cycle any workout between now and August 15th and dedicate it to those struggling with Autism.
2. In your dailymile workout post, mention this contest and post this link http://www.runfasterdaddy.com/road-id-contest/ in it. Not on dailymile? Join here.
3. Message me via dailymile, or post a comment on this page letting me know you posted a “Workout for Autism”

In short, do a workout, post a workout to tell others, and tell me about the workout. If you do that, you earn one chance to win a gift card worth one Road ID Wrist ID Sport. If you already have one, give the gift card to a loved one who needs one.
