Tired? Go for a run.
Last night I worked until 3:30 am, came home, unwound for a bit and finally crashed at 4:15. After 3 1/2 short hours I was up for an early morning dentist appointment. I came home, crashed for an hour, and was back up again to go for a run.
Now, how many of you have been at that point where you know you should get up and go exercise, but you’re just SO tired? The thought of even another 30 minutes of sleep is so damn appealing. But, I did the right thing. I got up and went for a quick solo run - just me, no stroller today. My lungs and legs felt better. Still no pain at all in my twigs, even when I percuss directly over the old fracture site. Today, I noticed that my breathing was better, especially on the uphills. I’m sure most of that was from not having the stroller today.
Anyway, I’ll end this with a quote I recently saw on someone’s Twitter feed:
Those who think they have no time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness.
– Edward Stanley
