RACE REPORT
Today was my road race in Plymouth, MA to help raise money for Kayla’s Beat Goes On.org. I raised $80 for this race and the event raised a little over $10,000 total. The event was a rather disorganized affair. Even though I had registered on-line and submitted all of my donations electronically, I still had to wait in three seperate lines. One line when you first get there, where the staff looks through a non-alphabetized list to find you, another line to pick up your bib number, and a third line to get your t-shirt. The race started 5 minutes late and there was no race course overview or warning before the pistol fired.
Anyway, this was a good race for me. The course was hilly, and the weather was very chilly and very windy, but I did well overall. I shaved 56 seconds off of my last time and finished in 23:52.
I had a top 20 finish (16th out of 239).
Not too bad for this old fart.

Well, my next race is in 2 weeks. Time to go train.
