Today was a beautiful early fall day and a great day for a run. I would like to have run for a longer distance, but that pesky thing called a work schedule got in the way and I had to make it a short one. So, today i focused on my pace and on controlling my breathing pattern. Success! I felt better with my breathing and I ran my fastest pace so far - 10:07 per mile. Now, I have things in perspective, and I know that 10:07 isn’t anything to write home about, but the important thing is that this overweight under-activitied middle-aged father of two is GETTING BETTER, and somehow I am doing this while pushing my daughter in the running stroller. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do Friday’s run solo, without the stroller and get a better idea of how fast I can really run. Aubrey was her usual calm self for the run and we only encountered one dog - she loved the treats.
